I have done a search and come up with the differences in mounting points for the bracket as well as the great picture provided by Laurie; however, I can't seem to find an actual description or any pictures of how the hoses leave the pump and are connected to the control valve. On my '68, I have the lower bracket on the shock tower (same as Laurie's), but cannot tell if both hoses should go above the tie rod or below the tie rod. It looks as if the return will fit below the tie rod, but it doesn't seem correct. Additionally, there seem to be interference issues with any looping behind the pump or even the pitman arm. I know that there is a great deal of difference between various repro hoses, so all I want to know is EXACTLY how the hoses should mount. Pictures would be greatly appreciated as would any detailed description.

Thanks in advance,

Deathman68

I know I have some other pictures of the p/s system. I'll check my laptop tonight and see what I have that may help.

Here you go! Ignore the ugly exhaust manifold bolts in the second photo, they're no longer there. ;)

Thanks again. Do you have any pics of the undercarriage where the hoses go into the control valve? I'm curious to see how they are bent on the ends as well as how they clear the tie rod and the pitman arm.

Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks again! Sorry to be a bother, but do both hoses come up above the tie rod end or does one go above and the other below? It is hard to see from the pics. You've really been a great help!

Okay, you got me finally--no picture of that. I don't really remember, but I think they're both above. I'll find out for you.

Ooops, I was wrong. I just talked to Chuck about it and he says one goes above the tie rod, and one under.
