What's the purpose of the upward bend at the end of the strut rod on my 67 mustang??

Reason I'm asking is that the Rod & Custom Disk Brake Kit's brake hose interferes with the strut rod when turning the wheel. If I cut off the little upward part of the strut rod where it attaches to the LCA, it would probably be fine.

Anyone?

The upward bend is the "steering-stop" . . . and corresponds with your spindle . . . it keeps you from over-turning the steering mechanism(s), preventing damage to other steering components.

I'd re-route the offending brake-hosing.

Just my $0.02 . . .
