Probably a dumb question.
Is there any difference to whether I use the vacuum on the back of my sniper vs a port on the intake?

You're better off using the rear port on the sniper for the PCV than using an intake port. The reason is that the vented crankcase gasses will be more evenly spread out to each cylinder. If you use a port on the intake it's likely that only the cylinders nearest the port will get the vented crankcase gasses.

I run the PCV to my Sniper in the location you indicated in your picture with no problems.
