Just a few projects left to feel the coupe is mostly done. The last big one is putting my quarter windows in. Originals were heavily pitted so 2 years ago, I bought reproductions. Finally installing them today and I find they are never going to work. The angle on them is flatter than the originals, so they stick out about an inch at the top. This is with the adjustment all the way extended. Side by side, its pretty obvious they are not the same. For now, I put the original driver side back in (fits perfect), but the passenger side is broken.

So, 2 questions. 1. Does anyone have very nice quality 67 coupe quarter windows for sale. Both sides. I have the original backing plates, so just need the glass and frame assembly. 2. Has anyone else used the dynacorn coupe window assembly with success? Looks like I bought them at MU Dynacorn Quarter Window Assembly Clear Driver Side 1967-1968 Mustang Coupe | Quarter Window | Glass & Window Frames | Exterior Trim | Mustang | MustangsUnlimited.com

This also reinforces my idea that I can't afford cheap. I saw the NPD part was about 20% more expensive, but maybe it's a different manufacturer and quality would be better. But maybe no one is making solid coupe specific parts since everyone wants a fastback when they are spending this kind of money?

Just letting others that are searching this topic know that I am having the same issues with the fit on the repro quarter windows on my 67 coupe. At full adjustment on the bottom to out, which will pull the top in, it still has 1/2” or more gap at the top seal. I even tried shimming the upper bracket bolts. Tried 1, then 2 shims and it still didn’t have the clearance. With the shims, the gap was too far at the rubber rub strip...about 1/4”.
I set my old and new tracks side by side and there is a pretty big difference in the curvature. The repros dont have as much curve. This would make sense that the top wont fit correctly to me.
Plan B is to put my originals back in until I can find a place to rechrome them.

Yes, I realize this is a 2 yo post, but believe it is better to continue an old thread instead of starting another nearly identical on.

My fear when restoring my 67 vert was getting exact fitting parts, more important than cost.
So for both my vent window frames & rear quarter window frames, I chose to have rechromed.
After seeing ads I sent mine to them. First thing they did was put my initials on each part in a hidden place, they take a picture of it all, send to you and ask for your ok. It was ~ 3 week turn around. Very happen, done right, normal low spots perfect not filled with extra chrome like I've seen on other cars.

I have decided to try installing the new repros in my original tracks to see if that works. Hopefully will have time tomorrow and will report back.

Just wondering if you could remove the glass and tweak the frames? It’s a shame they would even manufacture something like this that is that far off in fit
