Hey all,

On my 68 convertible - the quarter extensions have an "ear" at the bottom where what appears to take a countersunk screw.. which I cannot find. Any idea what hardware is meant to go into that lower hole? It is near the top of the rear valance.

Here is a pic or two..... the hole does not line up with the valance hole and is bigger. I had one of the screws which now I cannot find (the passenger side was missing), and memory says it was a domed phillips head countersunk. If necessary I can take one from my ride, will need to go to the shop to get it.

My AMK kit had them for my 67 vert.
Note what I've seen done (and did on my 67) when mounting extension and the hole you mentioned is use a rubber washer between the extension hole and body.
These tabs quite often snapped off on originals, so to take up any space & deal with vibration, use a rubber washer. Think I used a small flat faucet washer. Works great as my extensions are still originals.
