Hi, I've been searching through past posts, but have yet to find any thing of relevance. I have a 65' Convertible that I have blindly decided to replace the rear quarter vinyl, as well as repaint the metal there while I am at it. I am having an interesting time placing the siding on without ripples and curves, is there any hints, suggestions, voodoo magic I can try from those of you with expirience? Thank you

Ive done that 3 times, the first 2 looked like hell, the last one came out pretty good, except I didn't use eniough glue. Maybe thats the trick? The vinal is pretty smooth, but "lose" where it tucks under the top.

I bought about a dozen strong spring clamps from Home Depot and used them to hold the material tight around the perimeter. I did not glue anything until I had it looking good. You can cut and trim to get the corners looking good. You also don't have to worry about the glue setting up on you while you work with the material.
