I just picked up a 69 XR7 Cougar with the original tilt steering (see post below). Can this be pulled out and converted over for my 67 Mustang?

This is the main reason I picked up the XR7. I figured if I can't use it in my 67, I can sell or trade it for a 67 tilt.

If your 67 has the short shaft steering box with a rag joint connected to the steering column shaft, it should fit. You will need to change the electrical connector for the turn signals/horn to a 67 and you may need to fabricate some of the mounting hardware for the tilt away vacuum stuff as the design was different for those years. The 67 has an actuating rod and the 69 has an actuating cable so the parts, though similar, are not identical.
