Looking for information about the front seatbelts used on 68 Shelby Convertibles with the shoulder belt. Were they used on another vehicle? Where do they mount? Just about the only thing left to install on my car and any info would be appreciated. Thanks,Patrick

The retractor mounts behind the rear seat side panel on the inner quarter support near the rear side window regulator and roll bar and come through a slit in the plastic panel near the top of the door jam. There is a wire "clip" that keeps the end of the belt in position. These are unique to Shelby convertibles. The female belt bolts to the floor with the lap belt near the floor tunnel. They are about 18' long if I remember correctly and are also unique to the Shelby convertibles. They both are very rare to find. Good luck. ::

Thanks for the info! I'm trying to build a CS Special Conv. and wanted to use the same seatbelts. I was hoping to find out they were the same belts as a Granada or something common.
