Hi,

I have 3 bolts left to remove from the exhaust manifold. Two of them are at the end (closest to firewall) on the top and bottom of the manifold. The last one is at the end closest to the radiator on the bottom of the manifold. I just removed the starter for better access to the bottom bolt. I want to remove part of the accelerator assembly for better access to the top bolt. I want to disconnect the accelerator assembly from where it meets the accelerator control shaft rod. How do I do this? I just want to get the accelerator assembly out way so I can get a ratchet on that bolt.

Thanks,

Justin

The accelerator rod is one piece (the piece that sticks up that your rod to the carb hooks on all the way down to the pedal). You can remove the linkage from the carb, the two screws that hold the accelerator to the firewall and the pedal and remove the entire assembly, but it is one piece.

Is that what you need?
