I'm currently putting the final bits of work into my 289, and I had a question about shifting the position of where the heater hose picks up at.

Normally the inlet hose gets coolant from a fitting on the passenger front side of the intake manifold. It returns to the water pump and is circulated back thru the system. The fitting for the inlet hose sits right above where the thermo is mounted.

My manifold has 4 ports into the cooling system, one at each corner. My question is, if I move the inlet to one on the rear, will it affect the cooling system's ability to push coolant thru the inlet hose?
