I’m adding a factory tach gauge cluster to my non tach 67 coupe. Going from factory oil pressure gauge to oil pressure light and have a question. Everything I read about changing to this says to just change the sending unit only which I’m going to do, but noticed that the gauge cluster wiring has the positive to the light coming off the load side of the cvr which would be 5 v and the negative side via the sending unit as if the original gauge was installed. I’m thinking that this would be a dim light on a 12 v 1895 bulb. Any problems with tapping the light positive off the line side of the cvr, which would be 12 v and a brighter indication for oil pressure? I’m also going to run a mechanical aftermarket oil pressure gauge also.
