Got a new toy for Christmas, and now a question. I can check humidity in the garage where the Mach is stored, and I can also drop it by running heater. But... I prefer not to waste money on heat, and I don't let it get under 45-50 degs.

My question is what is a decent humidity % to keep under for a nice driver that mostly I want to avoid moister damage from sitting long periods of time. Generally I keep the car covered, but say I don't...would say 50% humidity be a poor environment for storing a car??

TIA!

I don't think 50% is unreasonable as long as you can stand the heating/cooling bill! Don't forget, too dry isn't good either. It will dry out the upholstry and rubber products.

Keep it at 70/70 and you've got a perfect humidor!! ::
