I am thinking about buying this 69 Mach 1, but It would need the front driver's side frame rail replaced. What would it take to do this, and how much would it cost? Are there any chances of bending the frame in the process? Thanks in advance.

Hi, if you like it and the price is right then go for it. The frame rail is a fairly good sized job but if you take your time and measure keep everything where it should be you can do it this is what I started with and look at it now!!! http://a1060.g.akamai.net/f/1060/597/30minutes/www.zing.com/picture/pc7e1de4f0e257d39a85cd6f4db41625c/febec020.jpg

Hi, the car has to be put on jackstands so it is immobile then unbolt the engine mount on the side that needs replacing and jack the engine up off of the frame rail unbolt everything that can be taken off then cut the shock tower loose cut the frame section from under the floor(I left the mounting flange till last cut just the frame off first) then go back and remove the mounting flange without cutting the floor position the new one in place and use lots of clamps. take lots of measurements side to side tack weld it to the floor and shock tower keep measureing!!!! when evrything fits back and all measurements are right weld it up and bolt everything tight.
