I am looking to buy a 9 incher for my 72., I have seen sources say it's 54 inches Flange to Flange and then one that say's 61.5 inches. What would be the exact measurements? Thank you!

For a '72 it should be 56.25" flange to flange on the housing which gives you a 61.25" flange to flange axle measurement. The 54.25" was last used on a '70. Make sure you get the correct spring perch distance also, should be 43" seperation.
