Are you talking about a stock front valance or the Shelby racing valance with the big cutout for the oil cooler??? If that is what you are referring to, you only have a couple of options. Either offset mount it with some homemade brackets or mount it under the bumper in front of the cooler opening (again, homemade brackets). I don't recall ever seeing a 65/66 with a racing apron running a license plate....
On the fastback, I've got the front racing apron with the spoiler. And I don't know how I'd get a license plate up there. But, I guess I'll have to deal with it, if I ever get pulled over and given a ticket.....

I was going to hinge it so it would direct air to the oil cooler as it leans back. I still have to figure out what to do with the hood latch brace that gets in the way...
