I've heard that one of the best is the Valentine One radar detector. I've never used one, so I can attest to it. The last one I had was a whistler, it worked great until I left it in my black car in 110°F California day. Kinda cooked it. ::
$400 might be expensive, but so are speeding tickets .
I wish I bought one of those radar detectors years ago. It might have saved me over a $1000 in speeding violations, time spent doing traffic school, and increased insurance costs. Damn, that is really depressing when I think about how much I gave to the state for driving with my lead shoes on .
I dont think there is a radar detector that works very well. I have a friend who swears by his Valentine One, we both drive too fast on the same road, and in the last i've had 2 tickets and he has had 3. Save your money and just try to stay behind someone going just as fast as you are
I have only used Cincinnatti microwave detectors with the exception of one I bought at Best Buy and I brought it back what a POS. and then bought the 8500 Passport the web page is Escort Here in Minnesota they are using more Laser and a unit using X band and a gun picture...Too late if they have you then no mater what detector you have IMHO. I have just been setting the cruise for 5 over max and the other motorists fly by me!
