So I pulled the radiator out of my 67 vert that has a 289 in it that has been sitting for several years. When I pulled the radiator hose off the top tank I noticed a white gel type substance where the hose meets the tank neck and I also saw some of the white gel substance in the top hose as well. I have never seen this before in a radiator hose. Any idea what this might be.

Thanks

If its a gel substance, someone mixed Dex-Cool (GM antifreeze) with conventional antifreeze. You need to flush the whole system. The radiator needs to be professionally flushed at a radiator shop.
