I replaced a top radiator hose with the correct stamping and the correct double wire clamp. The QUESTION:: I want to staple the clamp to the hose similar to the way the factory did. Simple procedure but I thought I would ask if anyone else has done this and what they used to staple the clamp and hose together. I know, picky, picky, picky!!! Thanks for any feedback. Dudley

First make sure your car takes those little staples. There was a cut off at a certain year. How do I know? Found out I didn't need them AFTER I put them in.
I just used some wire and made it look factory.
PS: judges: I hope you locked on to remembering that they all did not have that staple.

Did it last night. The bottom hose had the original staples so I just compared the normal Arrow gun staples to it and they matched in size so I just separated one staple at a time and cut and reshaped it to fit. I made the tangs long enough just to penetrate the hose and stay in place without going all the way through and bending.
