David, can you clarify your PS ? my SAE papers and ALL of my charts from work show MORE wear at lower temps. The wear curve starts to flatten out at about 185. I've been running a 205 stat in EVERYTHING since learning about the coefficient of friction of an aluminum piston in an iron bore, and how it changes with temperature. No problems in 40 yrs. Why would you recommend a lower temperature ? LSG
