I'm planning on getting comp's roller tip rockers...My '65 289 heads dont have rail rockers, so im assuming that I have to use the non-rail type roller tips. I've been told that you can install the rail type with no mods, but what about the non-rail type? Are there ny needed mods, or do they install like the rail types? Thanks

Your heads have guide plate already cast in the heads. So you want to use non-rail. The rail type is for heads without guide plates installed or already in the heads. You shouldn't use both Gary
