what is the rarest mustang around now a days that was actually made and not modified by someone? i dont mean in rare like if elvis owned it! i mean just a rare own that a regular joe would own (a rich joe)!

66 GT 350 convertible. Only 6 made, each a different color. Shelby made 12 more in the 80's, but these don't really count.

Probably the half dozen 66 shelby convertibles (real ones made in 66).
Or the factory race cars (people could actually buy some of them)

How about the 71 Quarterhorse? Built 2 with one known to survive.

What a bargain, NADA lists the 66 Shelby GT350 Conv. at a high price of $58K....

Somehow I think you'd have a hard time talking one of the owners of these cars into selling for that...
