Does anybody know of a source for the vent bolt which holds down the brake line on a V8 Dual Exhaust equipped 66. The local auto part stores and Ford Dealership have no idea where I can get one of these and I notice that none of the mustang shops list them. Please Help. I know the thread is 7/16-20 but the part stores only seem to have universal ones with NPT thread.

Thanks,

Dan

Dan, believe it or not I think the 66 dual exhaust vent hose nipple/bolt is the same a 67/68 6 cyl cars. I have had occassion when a client wanted convert to dual exhaust and at the same time was having new brake lines put in; anyway the stock single exhaust 66 was too long and would not hold the brake hose in place. Put a 67 6 cyl. vent nipple in place and holy cow it worked fine.

Hope this helps.

I think your best, and cheapest, bet would be to scour a wrecking yard for one. Currie might have one if you don't want to go that route.
