Having procured the heavy-duty brackets, rebuilt calipers, and new rotors for a total of $325, (http://www.ecihotrodbrakes.com/rear_discbrake_conversions.html) I am ready to install everything on the rear of my 67. BTW--Thanks to the person who posted the link; it was a great help. Also refer to http://www.ultrastang.com/Ultrainfo.asp?Page_ID=11
Here's the question: Do I need to secure the rotor to the axle with Tinnerman nuts? They are those star-looking things on studs of the rear drums. Otherwise, the installation should go pretty dog-gone easy. Everything test-fit perfectly.

I did the ultrastang rear discs earlier this year on my '69. I did not use any parts or fasteners from the original drum setup. I just used the fasteners that came with the kit.

I am not sure I undestand the question.
