Don't know what you mean by large opening? But I have a trim panel sitting in my garage, and at the top near the package tray is flat with a hole for a mounting screw. I can take a picture of it if you need one. Mine is not off of a GT, so I don't know if there is a difference.

I asked this question earlier this week and did not get a response so I'm trying again.
Besides the three small screws on the rear trim quarter panel there is a rather large opening at the top of the panel under the package tray. I think a bolt or some other type of fastner goes there. Does anyone know?

Yea the hole is bigger than the others, and sits just under the lip of the package tray, and uses a larger phillips head screw there.
