I want to make car a better daily driver- would you rebuild or buy a rebuilt long block? Anything to "matching numbers" on Ford for '69?

The "matching Numbers" one is the engine that the car was built with. If it's still in there you might want to rebuild that, to keep it original. If that is already gone, you could reuild it, or upgrade it. IE, if it's a 302, put in a 351. Or modify it. Aluminum heads, 4 bbl intake, headers. Your choice.

I would use the original block and heads OR for sure hang on to them. Depends on your plans for the car.

I'm beyond trusting anything anyone else does on my cars. I'd rebuild it myself so I know it's done right and not just a quick cheap money making deal for someone.
