I'm looking for a recommendation for a diagnostic tach to use when tuning up my car. I'm not looking for a permanent installation. I don't know much about these tools. A cursory search on the Internet came up with two digital products priced around $50. I'm curious to know what you folks use. Products I saw were from Electronic Specialties (325 Digital Clamp-on Tach) and ATD (EZ-Tach Wireless Tachometer). Thanks

I think I saw the one you refer to tonight - the tach measures up to 2K and about $30? How often do you think I might need to measure above 2K RPM? Thanks!

I have an older sears one that measures 0-1200 and you can flip a switch for 0-6000. It's got all the dweel/volts/amps stuff too. I usually just use the tach and dwell.
