Thought about gettin a dual exhaust system that came off a 66 fastback...and attempting to put it on my 70 coupe. Am I just asking for trouble...are they even close enough to make it work? Has any one tried something like this??? I thought someone may have a thing or two to say...come on guys am I asking for it? My chevy friends laughed their @sses off when I brought up this one....(it's a FORD---nothing interchanges....).......thanks in advance...Todd P.

They, your friends, are wrong. That system should fit with out a great deal of difficulty. The only issue that comes to mind is the length of the tail pipes. I believe a '70 has a tad longer rear body.

I used the dual exhaust from my 66 coupe on my 69 coupe for about a year before building a new exhaust. It worked fine for me, but then it dumped in front of the rear-end. I don't know how well it would have fit if it was a full exhaust.
