I was wondering if anyone has refinished the chrome/brushed sections of a 1967 console? I have seen many consoles being sold recently that have been painted, and some with the sticker but I am looking for a show quality original finish.

If you have had it professionaly refinished, who do you recommend?

Thanks!

I painted mine for now but intend on having them refinished this winter. I talked to a plating company near my home when I had my door handels rechromed about replating the console and they said they have done them before. hey said they would do the brushed finish also just like the original. He said the cost would be around 4 to 5 hundred depending on the amount of pitting. Hope that helps, Ron

I found a guy in Tennesee that is going to do mine this winter. I read the tech article last summer that GT390 linked to and asked this guy a lot of questions. He did my air cleaner lid last winter with excellent results. The price will be between $400 to $500 for all four pieces. S&H Briteworks 615-865-0100.
