Driver side of my 67 coupe the regulator quits grabbing at about %75 of the way up. took panel off and the shaft the handle goes on gets loose. Anybody ever fix one of these before?

Nope... but I will be paying attention to answers... girlfriend wants a side project to "help" out on mine.

It looks like the shaft is pressed in, but I dont know. I dont know how you would repair it.
I think they cost around $25. I just replaced mine.
New plastic roller guides and lots of grease helps as well.

Are you saying you keep turning the handle but the window stops going up? If thats what your saying it sounds like teeth in the gear sector are worn off.

In most cases it is the internal mechanism that is worn out. Better off finding a good used unit or buying aftermarket. Replacing anything inside of it is time consuming and parts would have to be salvaged in most cases.
