I want to do a stall converter and cam swap. If I were just doing the stall converter, ofcourse I would just take out tranny. But since I am doing the cam to, would it be easier to taske the engine out and put in the cam and converter? I know it would make the cam install alot easier. What would you do? Oh, I guess I cxould get some engine compartment cleaning done too?!?! Thanks for your opinions!

If I weren't doing anything else to the engine bay, I'd just pull the tranny for the stall converter, and leave the engine in for the cam swap.

If I wanted to really detail the engine bay during the process, though, I'd pull engine and tranny together, install the cam and stall converter outside the car, then re-install them as a unit after the detailing.

If you have an engine lift and balancer I recommend pulling the engine and trans as a unit.
