Hi guys,

I just removed the rear spoiler on my 69... I was just planning on plugging the holes but the stands seems to have left a nasty indent... Is there a plug that has the shape of the stand? I have a coupe and it looks better without it :(.

Any ideas? I want to avoid buying a new trunk or sanding/painting... Least costly option i guess is to put the spoiler back hahaha.

Maybe you could make a couple thin brushed aluminum plates with a similar oval/rectangle shape curved to fit and attach somehow. Probably thin double back tape? Trace a pattern of the old spoiler stands base. That would at least look better than reinstalling the wing...

Could try some JB weld to fill the holes. Sand it all smooth and paint over it.

Cheap fix, but will work.

Let me try out cutting aluminum plates and see how it looks. If not I'll try to use JB weld. I was thinking of doing something like this but I'm just scared I'll mess up the paint even more... Guess I can just repaint the trunk since it's gloss black!
