What is the best way to get the old mirror bracket off the windshield of the 68 coupe? Will a blow dryer get it warm enough to release the old adhesive? I have a new mirror to put on, but need to get the old bracket off first.
TIA,

James

I'd be worried about not getting enough heat or, if you've got one of those powerful shop heat guns, too much and cracking the windshield. I'd think a razor blade/scraper would work or (the way mine have always come off) attach the mirror and give it a good knock!
