Removing power steering reservoir (help)

668 Views 1 Reply 1 Participant Last post by  Guest
I'm slowly removing piece by piece in my engine bay. Cleaning, spraying and installing them (hopefully) back in the correct place!

I've now come to the power steering reservoir in my 66 coupe. The bolts and brackets are pretty obvious, but what about the pressure hoses at the back? If I remove them will fluid spill out everywhere?

What's the best way to remove this puppy?

Thanks

Shaun

best thing is to remove the hoses at the control valve and then spin the pulley on the pump to get the fluid out of the lines. after that, you can plug the ends with a rag or something and then unbolt/remove the pump.
