Fella's..whats the easiest/best way to remove the trunk deck decal from my 70 Mach 1 without destroying the paint? The paint system is a base/clear. Heat, alcohol, what? Thanks.

I have done this successfully with a household hair dryer, there are also some commercially available decal removers that may work. Check with your local auto body supply.

Well, when I did this on my old Taurus SHO, I used my finger nails, and a can
of WD-40.

Peel the label a little, and then soak it with WD-40. The WD-40 breaks down the
adhesive and allows it to clean up real nice. Then peel a little more and repeat
until it is all gone.

Some of those car dealer labels are tough though, so patience is a good thing to
have...

Good Luck,

I would try 3 different things
#1 call a local vinyl sign maker and see what they recommend
#2 use a 3M decal remover
#3 try a product called Unseal. It's used in removing graphics, photos that were applied with adhesives and I normally buy the stuff from picture framing suppliers.

Take your time and you'll do fine.
