removing windshield goo

882 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Guest
I'm getting to the point that I want to start working on my roof areas and seems smart for me to get the windshield adhesive cleaned off before I start sanding. Would a surface prep wax and oil remover like PrepSol liquify this stuff? Or should I use lacquer thinner? These were the two options I've considered. If possible I'd also like it to work on rubberized undercoating that the PO sprayed in my trunk areas. What solvent works the best?

I used CRC dialectric cleaner and it worked pretty well, especialy on the trim. Good luck!
