Just got off the phone with NAPA up in Cornelius, NC. They are getting a water pump for my 1970 351C-2V engine. I'll pick it up after work for $ 14. Took the old pump off last night in my garage. It wasn't leaking, but I just wanted to get a new one since I had pulled the radiator off along with lots of other engine attachments.

Six months ago I tried to take the water pump off my 1991 Park Avenue. It WAS leaking !! Could NOT get it off for the life of me. They had to come and flatbed the car away. Final bill: $ 386 for a water pump !

Anybody else have repair price comparisons like this between your Mustang and your newer cars or trucks ??

NAPA is just about the last bastion of competent parts supply out there.
