Greetings all,
I need to replace the fuel tank and sender in a '65 fastback. Are the various replacement tanks/senders offered from Mustang vendors the same or, are certain ones better than others?
Thanks.

Call Matt at Ponderosa Mustang. I know he has been selling the kits on dbay very cheap and I know he sells the quality items (made in USA).

Matt has a post in the parts listing for your tank with all the necessary parts to change it out for $105. This is a great deal. Do not hesitate.

Thanks guys. I will check it out. This is my first post here, and it looks like a lot of good information.

If you do much driving, you ,ay want to use the 70 tank - 22 gal. It drops right in and you use the 70 sending unit for a correct fuel reading. You have to saw off 2" of the filler neck and the hose slips right back on. You will lose about 2" in the bottom of the trunk, as the tank sticks up 2", but you have a 50% increase in your driving range.
