Hi all,
Anyone see the front end rebuild article in Mustangs and Ford in the most recent issue? I ordered that same kit from Laurel Mt and was very pleased with it (well, John who is working on my car was!). Well, in the article they mention about adding the right angle grease fittings to the upper control arms so they can be greased once in the car. Does anyone know if these can be added once the control arms are in the car? I would assume you can just unscrew the straight ones and add the right angle ones? I don't think the control arms came with them or they were included in the kit. If I can't add them w/the arms in the car, that is not good :(

Mike

You can buy a kit of right angle fittings from some vendors, and yes the can be installed with the control arms in. The ones I have come in two pieces, the part the goes into the control arm is just a right angle threaded coupling, the grease fitting threads into that (necessary since you cannot thread iton assembled).

I remove the plug at the end of the shaft, install the gease fitting ang apply grease, then remove them and reinstall the plugs. Takes about 20 mins for all four.

Found out a few mins ago that John who is working on my car already installed them. He said he had an extra set in his shop - so that is good :)

thanks for the info tho,
Mike
