Any one see or read about a rim blow steering wheel horn conversion to a normal or non rim blow function ??

I changed rim blow switches three times, all of which over time shorted out and caused the horn to blow continually. So way back in the 70s, I took the center cover off the wheel and did some surgery on the center Mustang medallion. In the pictures you can see I removed the two bottom retaining arms from the medallion, and added a screw at the top so it could pivot and push on the switch that I embedded in the foam below.
