The ring gear is chipped on my daughter's '66 Mustang coupe.
Anybody know where I can find a replacement? And how
do I make sure I'm getting the right one?

TIA,
forrest

If you are talking about the rearend ring gear, you should buy both the ring and pinion gears as a matched set.

Hello. The ring gear for the flex-plate on the back of the block for your car should run you about 50 bucks more or less. They are available from a number of places. You might try www.mustangmania.com They do ship.Good luck. :)

I didn't think flexplate ring gears were replaceable (like flywheel ring gears). Flexplates are not expensive, though.

Hey Veronica,

Haven't seen you on the board for awhile. Must have been on an extended vacation. Good to see you back. I always enjoy reading your input.
