I came across old photos that I took of a Galpin designed RumbleSeat for a 1967 Mustang. I guess only 2 were made? Not sure how I would feel about actually sitting in it. Looks like the gas filler tube was rerouted to accommodate the modification. There are a couple of other threads regarding this, but all of the photographic links are broken.

Someone else mentioned it, but when my Father saw this, he said "It was common for us kids to ride in the back of pickup trucks back in the day." Back row seat belts were mandatory in 1966, but I don't see any? They could have done a better job with the gas cap.

Very cool. Looks like there was a few options out there at the time. Love hearing these old stories. My Dad has a 29 roadster pickup that he used to drive back in high school and people were always jumping in and out of it back in the day without a care in the world.
