This is probably a stupid question, but i have to ask bc i think that many of you know the answer. I have a brand new triple plated chrome bumper, and while i was working on my car i noticed almost the whole inside of it is covered in rust. Not real heavy/deep down into the metal rust, but it is like all over and very dusty like. Is there anything i can do to prevent that, but not lose the look of the chrome?

I noticed the same thing, I has a NOS rear and bought a new front one from NPD. I used 0000 steel wool and cleaned them up, then painted the inside with a shiny aluminum Rustoleum paint. Once they were on the car you can't even see that it is painted.

I did the same thing, clean them up with steel wool, and paint the inside with "chrome" spray paint.
