The Saleen people take the original seats out of the cars that they build
and sell them for 500 bucks a pair. They are black leather ford seats. Are these seats
adaptable to a 65 66? Are they real leather? are they cloth and leather?
Thanks, I like the new forum I don't feel like an idiot anymore.

I heard something about this also, I've seen the leather Mustang seats, very nice looking. I'll just follow here.

A few years ago the rumor was they were selling V-6 engines for $1,000. At the time, I tried talking to them about their take off's and got the impression they sell things in bulk or lots. You might try calling them on the telephone and asking about the seats and whom you might contact.

Hope this helps,
Russ

If you really want 'em. The Ford factory seats are only leather on the top seating surface. The rest of the seat is vinyl. Even the entire rear seat in my 2000 GT is vinyl. Not to mention the seats are VERY uncomfortable and offer NO support. You actually have to use your elbows to keep yourself in the seat through turns.

So if you want 'em, get on Saleen's waiting list. They do fit in the car. But there are much nicer aftermarket seats near this price. Corbeau being one brand.
