I've got a 67 with power steering...it has the gear box with the long shaft as one unit (no rag joint). I'd like to change to the type of box that is separate from the steering shaft (with rag joint). What is the difference between power and manual steering boxes? If there is a difference, how can I tell which is which by looking at the box? If I end up getting a manual box, can I easily convert to power steering later if I don't like it...by adding the power steering components I already have...pump, valve, cylinder. Also, what is the length of the steering shaft that goes with the gear box with the rag joint? Are there any vendors out there that sell these?
