If I had children, I don't think I would drive them around in my classic Mustang, because even with lap belts, they need fuller, more surrounding protection.
But, putting lap belts in a fastback is as eays as a coupe, I think...
I just put rear belts in my '65. It was pretty easy.
My twin girls are 3. I plan to belt in booster seats, and then the booster seats (with shoulder harness ) will provide more adequate protection. Obviously these cars will never be as safe as a new car.
