Tried a search but can't find exactly what I need...

I need to know what size threads the front seat belt bolts are. I am going to weld the right size nut onto some flat stock and then weld that to the underside of my transmission tunnel.

Secondly, are the seat belt bolt holes on the transmission tunnel directly across from the rocker panel seat belt hole? I found a thread discussing that the early cars didn't match from the left to right side, but it didn't mention a specific location from a known reference point. Thanks

I think sixtysevenGTconv is refering to the seat mounting nuts.

I can't help you as far as seat belt bolt size, but I seem to remember them being larger than 5/16. More like 3/8 or 7/16. I do remember them being fine thread.

As far as location, on my 65, they're 2 1/2" aft of the bolts on the rocker.

Hope this helps.

Hey Ken, what size wheels and tires are you running? Plus, are those the vintage wheels?
