I'm trying to put late model seats into my Maverick ( poor man's Mustang) but the floorboard is uneven and doesn't match the tracks. I was going to put spacers under the rail. Would this work safely?

Even when you slide the track to make even to the floorboard

welcome. This is where a welder comes in handy. The objective is to build a permanent stable base for your seat so it doesn't move or can't tear away in an accident. My suggestion, remove the lower track from the seat, makes it easier to work with, and set up the spacers and tabs for the base, then go find a welder friend. I too had to rework my seat base, its not complicated, just work and if done right makes or breaks the look of the interior.
