Howdy all.

A few of us talked about this at the last meeting.

We would like to get together at a forest preserve somewhere and have a
cookout. It will not be part of a show, and we can do it on a Sunday so that
some of us who have to work Saturdays can come. This will be the final outdoor
meeting for this year, though we are still planning on getting together at least once
a month all winter for various car projects.

I suggest we go to Blackwell Forest Preserve on Butterfield Road in Wheaton /
Warrenville.

It is easy to find. I 88 to Winfield Road. North on Winfield to 56 (Butterfield Rd.)
and then left (west) to the park entrance on the right (north) side of the road.

It is also very close to route 59 (about a mile east of Route 59.).

I would also like to suggest Sunday September 22 as the date.

Any thoughts? Think we need to try to reserve a picnic area?

Can anyone recommend a better location (and make me want to drive there) ?

Hey Zim,
I thought I would throw Busse Woods into the mix. They are right by Woodfield mall on Higgins(rte 72) off of RTE 53. If we get the right spot, I think you can see the cars from RTE 53.
I also think a cook out is a great idea. I might even be able to talk the wife and kids into coming with.

I third busse, but only if 30 cars show up and the hooter girls....... well we can dream can't we:)

Don't know if I can get the wife involved though. If I bathe in bug spray I could even do some fishing.
