Ok were still installing the Shelby pod in the Fastback (life can get busy, just spent the last 3 days getting the computer working) . We have the Tach and oil pressure guage holes made. We also got a steel line for the oil pressure guage. the pod is all painted up and looks nice.
As explaned in the previous post I will cut the dash for the wires and oil tube and so that the tach will fit properly ( its not the Shelby tach).
My next question. How was the pod attached to the dash. I see the 2 flat sections on the top of the pod that I guess use screws that will go through dash pad to the metal. Is the top section of the pod glued in any way?
How about the bottom part of the pod. Is that screwed also, there are no flat spots. And what about glue?
Also how many total screws and where are they located?
Thanks
Dave

Well, since nobody else is going to answer, I'll tell what I did......

I attached my pod with 2 screws in the flats on the top, plus two more screws from underneath (at the corners). The plastic tears pretty easily, that is why I added the 2 at the bottom....No glue / tape used anywhere.

I have HEARD of people attaching with Velcro / 3M double sided tape, but knowing how hard mine grabs 2nd gear, I didn't feel like retrieving the tach from the back seat!!! /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif
