What is the shelf life of paint for your car. I want to buy some to paint in the cowle area and other places. If it has a long shelf life I wouild buy more that way the color pan will be the same

what kind of paint enamel? laquer? 2-stage? it does make a difference and how you store them. ::

Lacquer I was planing on storing it in a cool place around 60 degrees I was also think of having the paint store poor the Gallon in to 4 quart contans that way I could open one ata time.

It will last for about a year if it's closed tight and when it gets below 40 degrees you will have to warm it up don't let it freeze it might last longer but a year is gooooood. ::

I still have paint from when my car was painted in 1986 that is still fine.

Another option for the low visibility areas is to have the paint mix your paint and put it in a spray can. It will be virtually impossible to see if the color is an exact match on the cowl area.
I suggest you do more research before you settle on lacquer. It is really old technology and doesn't give the performance of modern paints.
